Writers To Watch: “Disbelief” and “The Black Widow” Author, Diamond Hodge

Inspired by Maya Angelo, and Erick Jerome Dickey, ever since published author Diamond Hodge could remember she’s been intrigued by writing. Her mother had a typewriter that Diamond used to type up stories on and now the rest is history. Her recent writing project is her very first Erotica Thriller novel called: “Disbelief” which she’s currently promoting and will soon start her new book called: “The Black Widow”.

Writing means everything to Diamond. It’s her therapy, it’s a place where she finds comfort, and it’s helped her get through some tough times. Writing is kind of like Diamond’s best friend, a happy place.

Alot of people can relate to her work or even see themselves in the characters that she creates. Diamond wants her readers to be entertained by this gift that she has and also wants them to be able to step away from their day-to-day activities and life to connect with a story they can share with others.

With Diamond’s writing, she hopes to help others get through tough times, especially unhealthy relationships, and learn to love and value themselves, because self-love is so important. Some of Diamond Hodge’s career highlights thus far are being able to write, and get her ideas on paper along with seeing others enjoy her work.

In the future, she’d love to become a best-selling author and write for a living on a beach somewhere if she could. Hustle and Soul Magazine is thrilled to spotlight this talented writer and support her career as she continues to be successful and passionate about writing.

“Health is Wealth”- Diamond Hodge

What inspired you to become a writer and what do you enjoy most about being an author?

Diamond: I’ve always known I had a gift when it came to my craft of writing. My mom used to have a typewriter and I would never forget typing up a short story.

Please tell us about your latest erotica thriller book. What can readers brace themselves for?

Diamond: Disbelief is based on unforgivable events that many relationships face which may entail lies, deceit, and betrayal. Readers will come across many obstacles and might see themselves in the characters that I’ve created.

How long did it take you to write the book and what has the writing journey experience been like for you?

Diamond: It took me 6 years to finalize my book and this journey has been one to remember…It’s not only been full of blood, sweat, and tears. I will never forget the day I pulled out that pen and sheet of paper and said: ‘self you have a story to tell.’

For those who are excited to read the book, what would you like to say to them?

Diamond: First and foremost, thank you for taking the time out to read my book. Entertain, inspire, and educate.

What are some other memorable writing projects that mean the most to you?

Diamond: My most memorable moments were when I used my mother’s typewriter to write a story about a girl named Samantha. It was as if she was my invisible best friend.

What else are you working on that we can be on the lookout for?

Diamond: Not only am I working on marketing and promoting my current book, I’ve also started the outline for my new book: “The Black Widow.”

Anything else you would like to share with us at this time?
