ATLANTA, Ga. — Super Creative Genius Tyler Perry had a sweet surprise for seniors shopping Wednesday morning at Kroger.
During senior shopping hour, Perry paid for groceries at 44 Kroger locations in the Atlanta area, FOX 5 reported.
“We would like to join our customers in thanking Mr. Perry for his kindness and generosity during this unprecedented pandemic,” said Felix Turner, the corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “It was truly a pleasure to see our customers fill with joy and gratitude as the news spread throughout 44 stores across Metro Atlanta.”
Emotions ran high when seniors were notified that the items in their carts were going to be free. According to FOX 5, just over the weekend Perry gave a $21,000 tip to be shared among workers at Houston’s Restaurant in Atlanta.
