TRACY GRANT PREMIERES NEW SHOW DRAMA “LACE” BACKED by ALLBLK TV
Writer/producer and AFI instructor Tracy Grant is back in the game with ‘LACE,’ a show he co-created with Katrina Y. Nelson and Adam Starks for AMC-backed streamer Allblk.tv. “Nobody was checking for me, and I mean nobody,” says Grant of his challenging time in the business. “I kept going because I didn’t know what else to do.” The show took Grant from unemployed former staff writer to Executive Producer, but the titles, of course, come with work. The legal drama LACE was conceived in 2012 and Allblk.tv, then Urban Movie Channel picked it up in 2019.
Grant ran the virtual writers’ room in 2020, worked on-set during production in the spring of 2021. Grant was involved with post-production in the summer of 2021, working closely with the editors, music supervisor, and sound mixer for the show. The Jackson Agency is currently out with Grant’s pilot scripts: SEED MONEY (in the vein of BILLIONS or SUCCESSION), VERONA CITY OF ANGELS (a gangster ROMEO & JULIET); Grant is also developing two feature scripts, a web series, and a podcast. “It’s never too late,” he adds.
LACE is Executive produced by co-creators, Michelle Ebony Hardy and
Katrina Y. Nelson in association with Kemy Time Productions, alongside
Adam Starks and Tracy Grant. And ALLBLK executives Brett Dismuke and
New episodes of LACE drop every Thursday and be available across all platforms by noon ET. LACE is streaming exclusively on ALLBLK.
