What inspired you to enter the entertainment and media industry?

Kira: Growing up my gift of communication and self-expression became clear to me at a young age. As a result of my environment, I idolized what was on my television screen. The entertainment culture became a major influence in my life. Honestly, I have always envisioned myself as a public figure. I just wanted it to be done my way with moral standards. I decided to use my experience in business and my passion for helping people as a tool to turn my dreams into a reality.

How did the Kira Deevah show come about?

Kira: The Kira Deevah show first aired in 2016. The initial idea of the platform was to shine a light on the creatives in the city of Paterson NJ. We have interviewed, pastors, actors, all genres of artists, and more. The popularity of the show began to grow globally as I used marketing strategies and content platforms such as youtube, Spotify, Apple podcasts, and more as machines to promote the platform as well as the guest. On the Kira Deevah Show we, use a relatable journalist approach to interview each creative to build a rapport. We have over 200 interviews to date as the platform continues to grow.

What type of talent for the show are you currently looking for?

Kira: It’s not that we are looking for talent itself. We invest our energy in those who have skills. rather it is, creativity, credibility, personal presence, personal resilience, self-direction. leadership, influencing. etc. We are promoting the skill.

You have worked with, met, and interviewed a variety of celebs and influencers, for you, what are some of the most memorable moments in your career so far?

Kira: I have worked/interacted with so many amazing people in the industry it truly is a blessing. One of my most memorable interviews was with Billy Danze of the legendary group M.O.P. this guy is literally in my top 5 . I was trying my hardest not to act like a fan. The interview went smoothly but seriously in my mind. I was losing it lol.

My interview with Dres of Black Sheep.was another eye-opening interview. He was so informative as he told the story of his childhood in North Carolina. His story is truly inspirational.

I can’t forget my interview with Speech from (Arrested Development). Great person, even better vision.

One of my most memorable times was my business conversations with Fred The Godson before he passed away. He showed genuine support for my platform since day one which in return gave me the motivation to keep going.

What do you enjoy most about the work that you do?

Kira: I enjoy connecting with creatives. This is a billion-dollar industry everyone should be able to win if we are working with not for each other.

If you had to listen to one album for the rest of your life, what album would it be and why? Lauryn Hill- Miseducation of Lauryn Hill nonstop for sure. This album is iconic and still relevant to this day.

What was the last song you listened to at max volume?

Kira: Jadakiss ft P Diddy- You Don’t Eat. This song gives me motivation daily.

Who are some women in the industry that inspire you and why?

Kira: I am inspired daily but if I had to choose women who have stood out to me it would be. Oprah Winfrey, Mona Scott Young, Kris Jenner, Michelle Obama. I just love Girl Boss ishh. these women are building empires, uplifting, expanding, and empowering in their own way. I just love it.

What are you currently working on?
