As an International Gospel Recording Artist; Singer/Songwriter; Celebrity Vocal Health Expert and more, what have been some of the most memorable moments in your career so far?

Some of the most memorable moments of my career thus far have been touring the world with notable icons such as the late Betty Wright (my godmother); vocally producing supporting vocals and singing with the legendary Patti Labelle for the Grammys alongside notable Music Director Adam Blackstone (BBE); working with notable icons such as Yolanda Adams, Erica Campbell (of Mary Mary), Queen Latifah, and many others.

In addition, becoming a TEDx Speaker; a voting member of the Recording Academy™ as well as a member of SAG Aftra™; being able to work with amazing award-winning speakers such as Nehemiah Davis, Dr. Dharius Daniels, Jeremy Anderson, and Eric Thomas (ET the Hip Hop Preacher); being featured on top rated podcasts such as Inside of Vault with Ash Cash on the Earn Your Leisure Network, and Social Proof with David Shands; impacting and educating thousands of speakers, singers, and edutainers globally through my Vocal Wallstreet™ University and Innercircle Mentorship Program; and igniting hope into creatives each year through my non-profit, LOVESTRUCK INC, which provides community support, safe space resources and practical tools to those battling with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation and other mental and emotional health challenges.

What are you currently working on?

Currently, I am re-launching a new and improved version of my Vocal Wallstreet™ University; which is an online vocal coaching mentorship portal that provides mindset, skillset, and toolset accommodations to speakers and singers seeking help in improving their voice. The university is loaded with video modules, PDF downloads, charts, reading resources, an online interactive community forum, bi-weekly Q&A sessions, and sectional quizzes. It focuses on five (5) common areas for optimal vocal quality and success; they include: Voice Confidence; Vocal Health and Anatomy; Vocal Pedagogy; Performance; and Voice Monetization.

What does the overall year look like for you?

The overall year looks extremely bright. In January, I kicked it off with a TEDx Talk in Downtown Los Angeles, followed by numerous guest appearances on entrepreneurial panels. In February, I will be partnering with the Boss Up Conference facilitated by Hip Hop icon, Rick Ross, at the 2023 NFL/Super Bowl experience in Phoenix Arizona, and that’s just the beginning of the iceberg. Looking forward to a very successful and productive year of connections, partnerships, mentorship, masterminds, endorsements, lots of self-care, and more passive income streams!

How would you describe your singing style?

I have been told that my singing style is that of the lightness of Denise Williams, mixed with the conviction and passion of Yolanda Adams…lol. As a child, I was exposed to different genres of music and so I have an appreciation for Jazz, Pop, R&B, Soul, Fuzion Jazz, Gospel, Classical, and Country. As I have grown into my defined purpose, my love for singing Gospel Music has grown even fonder. There’s just something about singing lyrics that bring hope, promise, faith, and tells of the unconditional love of God.

What more would you like to see in the music industry?

I would love to see more transparency, musicality, more lyrical intelligence, and an appreciation for those that have paved the way before us. I believe that we are losing music integrity more and more, and would love to also see the independent artists that are super talented and worthy of mainstream attention get more shine and nationally televised opportunities. I would also like to see those that work in the background helping artists such as vocal coaches, musicians, backing vocalists, label execs, public relations, managers, and media specialists get more notoriety and public appreciation by the industry and decision-makers as well.

What is your favorite song and why?

My favorite song has to be “Goodness of God” by CeCe Winans. The words tell what I at times cannot, especially when I am in a hard place and need the reassurance of what will always remain constant: God’s Goodness towards me. No matter what I listen to, I always find myself coming back to that song when I need encouragement and ‘pick me upper’…it’s a great reminder!

For those who are interested in being involved with Vocal Wallstreet™ (formerly known as The Music and Arts Healing Institute), what would you say to them?

It is your go-to Premium Creative Multi-Services Hub for all things voice, purpose identity, and creative entrepreneur mentorship. Vocal Wallstreet™ helps speakers, singers, edutainers, and entertainers use their literal voice as well as figurate voice (purpose), along with their creative skillset, and help turn them into wealth-generating, legacy-building assets. We provide educational and empowerment solutions through e-products, e-courses, an e-certification intensive, an online university, one-day events, a premium high performing/level mentorship program, and VIP concierge services.

What else would you like our readers to know about the work that you do?

I am very passionate about igniting purpose into every voice that I have the chance to work with. I want people to know that their voice has purpose and it is enough! There are people that are specifically assigned to you waiting to hear what you have to say. Do not allow imposter syndrome, fear, doubt, limiting beliefs, self-sabotage, perfectionism, anxiety, nor a ‘lack and poverty’ mindset stop you from fulfilling all that you have been created to do on this earth. You are a genius, and the world is waiting for you to package your genius through that podcast, book, album, non-profit, new business venture, public speaking, and/or live broadcast. If you’re trying to be everyone else, who’s gonna be you? Go be great…the world is waiting for you to show up to serve them with your brilliance.

What do you want your legacy to look like?

I would like my legacy to impact people all over the world as far as 50 to 100 years after I have fulfilled my life’s purpose upon the earth. I would like my voice to outlast me through digital real estate and mentorship. My goal is to create future creative mentors that are not me, but that are BETTER than me. I pray that my life, and light will continue to shine bright through the testimonies of others that I have been called to serve.
