How do you find people to bring into your organization that truly care about the organization the way you do?
Denise: When I attend events and fashion shows I network. I gain genuine connections. I feel like being yourself brings more to your brand. People love to see you working and in your element. I work hard, I’m determined, and always motivated. As well, I’m receptive to new ideas and skills.
What three pieces of advice would you give to other children who want to become entrepreneurs?
Denise: I would say “love what you do”. If you love what you won’t fail. Being an entrepreneur is your life’s project, have faith in god and pray! This is your dream.
If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
Denise: I would have finished school and chased my dreams at an earlier age.
What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur? I would say be good to the people; that are good to you, be genuine, and most importantly be yourself.
What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?
Denise: One attribute that I have learned to work on is being an over-giver. I’ve learned to stop giving. I had to get to know individuals better and see if they were deserving of my energy.
