Interview With CEO of Cashmere Moon, Tisha Ayers
October is National Women’s Small Business Month and as always we’re highlighting women who have both Hustle & Soul. We had the opportunity to do a Q&A with Tisha Ayers, the Founder and CEO of Cashmere Moon.
What was the inspiration behind your brand?
Tisha: The inspiration is quite easy. I just wanted something more moisturizing than lotion but not as greasy as pure shea butter.
How do you differentiate your business from the competition?
Tisha: We differentiate from our competitors in several ways. All of our products are completely vegan, not just a few. We prioritize our environment by choosing eco-friendly packaging for all our products. The most important difference is that our customer fav – the Whipped Body Creams, are made with more shea butter than anyone else, leaving skin moisturized and smooth.
Why is it important for you to have an environmentally friendly brand?
Tisha: It’s important because we only have one Earth and I want my children and their children to enjoy it. My mother taught us about the importance of taking care of our belongings if we wanted to keep them. It’s up to all of us to take care of our planet so I will do my part – in my personal life and in my business.
What’s your best piece of advice for aspiring and new entrepreneurs?
Tisha: It’s ok to make mistakes – each one is a lesson.
