Fun Solo Date Ideas to Try Out This Month of Love to Get Reacquainted With Yourself

Let’s be honest, enjoying your own company is the bomb! And despite popular beliefs, being present with yourself is quite needed. It’s a time to refresh and rejuvenate. It’s a time to get to know yourself better. Find out what you like and what you don’t like. Treat yourself with the love you desire from others. And get this! You can spend as much time with yourself as needed even if you have a significant other. This time is for you. And because I am an advocate for self dating I have some Fun Solo Date Ideas you can try out for this month of love for the entire month. I encourage you to have a date night every week.

1. HAVE A PICNIC!

Yes, it is February, and depending on where you’re located, it may be a little too chilly…or snowy to have an outdoor picnic, but don’t let that stop you! You’re more than welcome to transform your room or living room into the perfect space for the perfect picnic for you. Grab you a charcuterie board, your favorite picnic foods, wine or sparkling cider (your choice, here), some pillows, a blanket and enjoy yourself. You can journal, read a book, or watch a movie. The choice is literally up to you as long as you’re enjoying yourself. That’s the goal!

2. Dinner For One Please!

Dinner is the typical outing for Valentine’s Day or a Galentine’s Celebration but it doesn’t have to be reserved strictly for those two events. Whether you want to go out on Valentine’s Day by yourself or make it a date for any day this month, it is an opportunity to dress up, hype yourself up, and enjoy your food without having to share. And don’t forget to take pictures!

3. Spa Day…Or Night!

Everyone isn’t off at the same time, I get it! If you’re like me, you take your day. But get in where you fit in. Going to a spa or creating your own spa at home is one of those get-in where you fit in moments. You can do it during the day or at night. It is the perfect way to love on your body, embrace every curve, and intentionally take care of your skin. You can do a lot during your spa treatment from dry brushing, to detox baths, to massages, and facials.

4. Staycation…or Vacation…It Doesn’t Matter, JUST DO IT!

Last but not least, and of course, there’s so much more than the 4 solo dates on this list, go refresh and rejuvenate your mind. You can either schedule a vacation or a staycation, but either way, it goes, you need time away from your daily routine. It gives you a chance to try new places, meet new people, and learn more about yourself in a different environment. And did I mention that it reduces stress and anxiety? Why be stressed when you can vacate? Let that be your new motto!

These practices do not have to be strictly reserved for February. Let it become a monthly (weekly) routine for you to check in with yourself and give you what you need.
