Dr. Norma McLauchlin, Founder of Chosen Pen Publishing is Seeking People With Testimonies of Overcoming Unforgiveness

Dr. Norma McLauchlin, Founder of Chosen Pen Publishing is looking for people who have testimonies of overcoming unforgiveness. If you have overcome this difficult challenge in your life, she wants to hear from you! Sharing your story can help others who are struggling with the same issue. If you are willing to share your story with us, it could make a big difference in someone else’s life. Submit your testimony today by emailing: [email protected]

Dr. Norma wants people to know that even as a Christian, forgiveness will not always come easy. Self-preservation is the first law of man; therefore, in your natural state, your first instinct is to protect yourself when injured. Physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. Consequently, your Christ-like attributes of grace, mercy, and forgiveness take a backseat when you believe you have been offended. So, the question becomes, “Is forgiveness a conscious decision, a physical act involving your intellect, or is it a feeling or emotional state of being?” The Bible provides insight and answers to many more frequent questions concerning forgiveness. You may also find answers in her studies on forgiveness.

Hustle and Soul Magazine obtained an exclusive interview with Dr. Norma.

How has the forgiveness campaign you’ve launched been so far?

Dr. Norma: It’s been a challenge with the resurgence of COVID in many of my team’s homes. But we’ve persevered, and it’s proven that alone is a lesson: “Forgiving Yourself For Sky High Expectations” whew! We are still raising the bar with a documentary, a fiction book titled The Retreat, a formal Gala at the end of the month, and a Women’s retreat on forgiveness in the Smoky Mountains.

We recently entered the second half of the year. What was the month of June like for you?

Dr. Norma: June was wonderful. A month to evaluate, reset, and execute our plans to bring people’s mindsets to elevate to a consistent lifestyle of forgiveness.

Are you currently seeking new writers to join Chosen Pen Publishing? If so, what kind of writers are you looking for at this time?

Dr. Norma: Chosen Pen is hotter than ever before. We have always specialized in the Inspirational, Christ-centered, non-fiction Anthology. However, we have expanded into fiction: Anthology, Sweet Romance and Drama. We also offer ghostwriting, developmental editing, and book coaching. And yes, we always look for those who want to put their idea or story on paper.

What new writing projects can we expect from you?

Dr. Norma: They’re numerous. The rest of 2022 will bring an Anthology from Jamaica Writers contest winners, The Retreat. I have two new books: The Forgiveness Game and Losing It All for Him. My lead Developmental Editor has a new book coming out: Later. And our head administrator has a new anthology featuring women who served in the armed forces. These projects are just from the Chosen Pen team. We have many other projects for other authors. There is so much more coming!

What else are you working on?

Dr. Norma: We have a new Writer’s Retreat coming in February 2023. It’s a cruise to the Dominican Republic.

Can we expect any more initiates or campaigns in the latter part of the year?

Dr. Norma: I’m going to Africa in the latter part of September. It promises to be an adventure and a project that will provide books, education, and hope to those we encounter.
